This is Bodees first time shooting a grouse
and would you believe it he got it right in the head.
Grandpa Lamb took Bodee and Ryan hunting up Swift Creek when Bodee
spotted this bird and so Grandpa shot it and it flew out of the tree right to
Bodee. Thinking he would run away at the bird flopping at him, he drew his
bow and shot it right in the head. Ryan said he didn't know who was more
excited Grandpa yelling and jumping up and down or Bodee who couldn't
believe his luck at his first bird.
The mighty hunters
Grandpa and Bodee always eat the birds they shoot so this is Grandpa teaching
Bodee how to clean and gut the bird an easy way.
I wasn't sure if Bodee would get into pulling the feathers off but he did and of course
we had to keep a few of the fethers.
